This CASE knife sold at auction for $1,136.00 on March 13, 2005 and below
is the ad from the auction:
CASE TESTED XX ~ ( 5171L), Lever Knife!! This knife has been used some but
still in great shape. Scales are of mellowed stag with several pin cracks-mainly
on the back side, still pinned tight to the thick nickel-silver liners. Bottom
bolster stamped Case Tested. Blade has been used and shows some even wear in
depth but length is full. Spring is strong and action is very good. Lock-up is
very good and the blade seats within the frame line. In the open position there
is 1/16" wobble both ways but not serious. It's a very solid old
"Tested" knife & very hard to find! Check pictures. Thank you
Chip sells for $1,209.00 on March 22, 2005
Actual item description below:
Very unique item - while enjoying a bag of "Nacho Cheesier
Doritos" this evening, a wonderful experience came upon us - this chip in
the shape of The Pope's Mitre, a.k.a. His Most Holiness' "really
tall hat".
The
auction is for just this chip and the empty bag as the rest of the chips
were consumed while creating this listing on eBay.
While
not quite a grilled cheese sandwich that has an image of the Virgin Mary, this
chip is not without its charms... Don't let this
"cheesy" item get away!
Opening
bid price of $3.29 is to cover the cost of a replacement bag... Good luck
and have fun bidding!
A
very rare and unusual artifact for Lucille Ball fans.
This
1940
California
License Plate, once belonged to Lucille
Ball!
Included
is a letter (copy of the original), signed by Lucille Ball, dated
January 12,1941
. In this letter which is addressed to a gentleman
named
Denton
, Lucy explains that her Mother has assured her that
she will have the license plate sent to him. She goes to explain that she is
flying to
Florida
with her husband tonight and is doing her best to
get most of her mail cleared up before she leaves. She thanks him for all of the
nice things he says in his letters to her. She also says this :"I was
amused about the Max Factor picture, and I am sorry you were disappointed about
it". She continues, "the peony parade sounds wonderful, and it was
sweet to suggest that I take part, but I'm afraid that is impossible for
awhile." She tells him that she has carefully filed away the picture that
he sent of him to her in her correspondance file, and that she is always glad to
know what people look like who write her letters. She says that it is grand to
know that he is one of her very loyal fans. Also, that he is very considerate to
always enclose postage and money orders for the things he wants and that she
appreciates his thoughtfulness.
